Skills for creating – in organisational development
A well-functioning organization based on love and creative power is a beautiful thing. There is plenty of love and creative skills in culture and entrepreneurship. Only, that ability to create is not always also directed at the organization itself.
This is a question I love to work with:
How do you best use what is there, to build the organization that can create successfully?
My method in strategy and organisational development is highly informed by a decade of working for professionalization in the cultural sector and six years of studying Structural Dynamics in the creative process.
The underlying structure of an organization determines its outcomes (Robert Fritz)
This was developed by a composer, filmmaker and writer who has translated the ability of artists to create and insights about structural causes of success and failure to strategic consulting work for business, government and non-profits.

Develop your organization as a festival
A festival, exhibition or art project is designed through an artistic imagination process. No one would think of approaching a festival as a series of problems to be solved. With the development of our organizations, we however do tend to be reactive rather than creative. This problem-solving orientation limits our view on reality and undermines motivation.
Structural design focusses all your creativity, innovative powers and efforts and generates intrinsically motivated people. Top athletes, artists and creative people have this skill, even when they do not always know how to translate it to other creative processes than their chosen one.
By creating the path of least resistance to the desired outcome, taking the next step becomes easier than not taking it.
This work is very much suited for organizations that are dealing with a less than perfect starting point for creating their goals. Value driven organizations and people who want to create outcomes that matter will also find a good match with this work.
For whom?
I enjoy working for special organizations and people. I did half of my flying hours in the cultural sector, the other half in the commercial world. I work for organizations, companies and entrepreneurs who create new worlds, are inclusive, make clever things, open doors, spread beauty, are sustainable, create opportunities, have fun, organize hopeful futures or do something else cool, funny or useful. Big and small.
Structural design of your ambitions
I work with executive and management teams, boards, project teams or departments. I build each assignment around the question and need of your organization. We can create clarity in an element of your process in one session or I can work with you over a longer period of time to give wings to your creative process. Or anything in between.
My job is to facilitate and guide, but I also like to leave the organization with a greater understanding and skill level of creating together.
Apart from working with me in a free form, below are some ideas to help you think about how this offer might be of benefit for your organisation.
