My eyes have been opened a little bit more. Most recently by the killing of George Floyd in America and the global cry for racial justice and the harsh reality of the lack thereof. And a bit earlier by the corona virus situation which, as some have said, finally unites us globally because ‘we are all in the same boat’. Except we aren’t. In the same boat. People of colour, people without any wealth, people who led lives without (enough) access to healthy or organic food, healthy lifestyle habits been spoon fed into you, good education, relative peace at home, good healthcare, financial security, those people are much harder hit than the rest of us.

I can’t remember when I have cried so much in just a few months over something happening in the world. So here I found myself again getting a bit better educated about the white privilege I enjoy without knowing. Educating yourself on white privilege is very uncomfortable. Because you can’t do it properly without realising you have been blind. Here are some of the things I learned and links to some of the people who taught me.
